Applied Cryptography by Bruce Schneier and his blog
First of all let me wish you a very Happy 2016. 2015 has been hard but I am sure this year things will turn out to be for the better.
I ran into a copy of "Applied Cryptography" by Bruce Schneier on the New Year Day. The copy that I have is the one with blue cover and was published in 1994. Interestingly, I heard that there is a second revision out in 1996 and was wondering what is the difference. I google for the book and it looks like there is a PDF version floating around. The source that I got the file is actually none other than Mr Schneier's blog... OMG. WoW....
Anyway, his blog looks interesting and I learn a lot of thing. Here are some more link that I plan to read further:
Some analysis of the backdoored backdoor by Ralf-Philipp Weinmann - published in 2015
This blog discussed Juniper's ScreenOS vulnerability which provide backdoor to random number generator. I still don't understand most of what is written, but I intend to read more about it.
I think this is pretty much it for the New Year. Have a great 2016 everyone.
